GENERAL DESCRIPTION FOR ORGANIC COCONUT OIL
The native coconut oil smells intensely and naturally of coconut.
The two best-known types of coconut oil are classified by the method of production - so there is the native coconut-scented and the deodorized organic coconut fat/coconut oil without scent.
Organic coconut fat or organic coconut oil?
Fat or oil, it is one and the same! It just depends on the temperature whether the oil is solid or liquid. At cool to normal European temperatures, the fat has a solid aggregate state and a whitish color. From about 22 degrees, the fat begins to melt partially, at higher temperatures (from about 26 degrees) the fat melts completely into oil and thus acquires its liquid and almost transparent consistency. In the south, including in the countries of origin, it is therefore usually called organic coconut oil and in the north organic coconut fat.
Organic virgin coconut oil/coconut oil
No additional substances are used here. The flesh of the fruit is gently cold-pressed directly. The oil obtained is of a very high nutritional quality. It also tastes finer and retains its coconut scent.
The rich organic coconut oil is ideal for Asian dishes. It is perfect in soups, sauces and curries. It gives the food an exotic flavor that comes to the fore. It can also be used to sauté schnitzel, steam vegetables or in goulash. Of course, it can also be used in all other dishes. In many desserts, such as ice cream or creamy desserts, coconut fat/coconut oil provides an excellent flavor.
Smoothies or fruit juices are often made with coconut oil.
RECIPE WITH ORGANIC COCONUT OIL IN THE KITCHEN
Vegetable and coconut curry with rice
400ml coconut milk
1 tablespoon curry powder
5 tablespoons of coconut oil
1 small zucchini
1 carrot
1/2 leek
1 spring onion
2 dried chillies
1/2 tablespoon of vegetable broth
250 grams of basmati rice
Cut the carrot and zucchini into sticks and slice the leek and spring onion into rings. Meanwhile, cook the rice. Fry the vegetables in the coconut oil. Add the coconut milk, vegetable stock, curry powder and chillies and simmer gently for about 10 minutes. Serve the vegetables with the freshly cooked rice.
The valuable ingredients, which are also very moisturizing, naturally tighten and revitalize the skin. Organic coconut oil can alleviate inflammatory processes of the skin. Coconut oil provides the skin with valuable vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
RECIPE USING ORGANIC COCONUT OIL FOR COSMETICS
Deodorant
Coconut oil, with its lauric acid content, is a suitable product for combating bacteria.
Baking powder also has this function. That's why they are both ideal for making a deodorant.
3 teaspoons coconut oil
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons of cornstarch
2-3 drops of essential oil – Important: skin-friendly!
The baking powder and cornstarch are mixed evenly. The coconut oil is added little by little. Stir until a creamy consistency is formed. Finally, the essential oils can be incorporated. The mixture is filled into cream jars. Done.

PRODUCTION OF ORGANIC COCONUT OIL
Coconut fat/coconut oil is obtained by cold pressing copra. This gentle process ensures that valuable accompanying substances and essential fatty acids are preserved. First, the coconut flesh (copra) is removed from the coconut palm and chopped. This fresh coconut flesh contains about 45% water. The subsequent drying process reduces the water content to about 5 percent and increases the fat content to up to 70 percent. The copra is then taken to the oil mill for pressing. The coconut fat/coconut oil is obtained there. The press residue, which consists mainly of sugar, minerals and protein, serves as valuable animal feed and is now also offered for human consumption. The oil can be stored in a cool place for up to 2-3 years.
COLD PRESSING/NATIVE
In cold pressing, the fruit pulp is gently pressed in a single operation and without heat. No organic solvents are used and the oil remains chemically unchanged. This process preserves important fat-soluble substances. It can then be filtered.
CHARACTERIZATION OF ORGANIC COCONUT OIL
Coconut fat/coconut oil has a natural white color. Virgin coconut oil has an intense coconut flavor.
ORIGIN OF ORGANIC COCONUT OIL
The main producing countries include the Philippines, India and Indonesia. Most of the fruit is consumed locally. Copra has become increasingly important in recent decades. Coconut production has doubled since 1980. The coconut palm covers 8 percent of the world's vegetable oil needs and is also used in a variety of other ways.
